Public Hearing on Pardee Expansion (updated)

Random Thoughts on the Mokelumne River

Katherine Evatt has a post over at her Random Amador Thoughts blog on the East Bay MUD meeting held last week. There are also links to Ledger-Dispatch articles.
Last week’s meeting drew about 150 people to the small board room at the Amador Water Agency headquarters.

Save the Mokelumne River

The East Bay Municipal Utility District has released the draft environmental impact report for its 2040 Water Supply Management Plan. The plan includes expanding Pardee Reservoir. The reservoir would be enlarged by more than 1,200 acres, destroying miles of the Mokelumne River and inundating the historic Middle Bar Bridge.
